I'm a fat, queer poet and visual artist based in Greater Manchester. My multidisciplinary practice explores identity, body dysphoria, mental health, and the complexities of navigating a marginalized existence. Whether through painting or poetry, I use my work as a space for raw, emotive storytelling, confronting internal struggles while celebrating resilience.

I graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art from the University of Salford in 2023, and was nominated for the Freelands Painting Prize in 2022. That same year, I curated Late Bloom at the Window Gallery in the New Adelphi building as part of Fruity Frenzy, a collective of neurodivergent artists working to make creative spaces more accessible and inclusive. In 2023, we went on to produce Here & Queer at Withington Public Hall, continuing our mission to challenge traditional ideas of what “Fine Art” can be and who it’s for.

My painting practice delves into queer subjectivity, focusing on the interplay between the body, sexuality, and gender identity. I use oil paint to mimic the textures of skin, applying impasto brushstrokes to recreate blemishes, folds, and contours. Colour plays a vital role in my work, allowing me to explore the warmth, vulnerability, and depth of the physical form. I often present the body in fragments, reimagined as painterly landscapes, intimate, asexual, and free from the objectifying gaze.

Through both words and images, I aim to offer a different lens through which to view fatness, queerness, and neurodivergence. My work challenges normative frameworks and instead celebrates the body as a site of complexity, beauty, and resistance. By centering marginalized experiences, I hope to create spaces that feel honest, radical, and deeply human.
